The endangered Australian dingo (wild dog)
Reminiscent of coyote treatment in America, -- well it just so happens the the American coyote is thriving, and needs to be hunted ! I was told by some Folk years ago that the state game officials (of the state I was in ) put out bait on a large fish hook hung 4ft of the ground in area around where Antelope calving , to catch Mr willie coyote and some states also pay a bounty currently of $50.
You need to realise these dogs are not dingoes, they are a human problem and now only humans can keep them in control. We have a dingo park called Frazer Island and Nth WA they are still pure, we would have only stopped this crossing problem by not introducing foreign K9 to the wild but it happened so now we must deal with the consequences, so we need to take the blame for our ancestors and deal with the issue at hand today, and that is loss of farm and livestock productivity, we are a farming nation and it is big export and makes up large part of GDP and our economy, not to mention rural livlihoods. People need to use logic, be realistic and not emotionally triggered by culling. Wild dogs now today in 2018 are in greater numbers than ever on the eastern sea board and every expert and authority agree thankfully. Did anyone hear the guy, they are finding dogs in kusisco NP upto 70kgs, and a adult male dingo pure only weighs 18kg and does not stalk humans like the cross breeds do today. Keep culling the wild dogs its doing everyone a favor including all the native fauna they kill
After reading most of these comments. I've come to the conclusion that a lot of humans are a waste of air.
HAVENT WE LEARNED FROM THE TASSIE TIGER THAT WE NEED TO LEAVE THESSE ANIMALS ALONE
I wish I could buy some well fenced off land with all native animals and pure dingoes to keep the species alive.
Why does it matter so much the genetic make up of this animal? If they still play the same ecological roles in nature then it shouldn't matter if it has some domestic dog in its gene pool. They shouldn't be viewed as a lesser animal if they're behaving the same way. But yes it's true that Fraser island is one of the few remaining pure dingo populations. I think it's unjust all the negative stigma these animals receive. It's eerily reminiscent of the coyotes treatment in North America.
In the first place, sheep should not be reared!! To be cruelly slaughtered ??? Watch "If slaughterhouses had glass walls, people would stopmeating meat." hosted by Paul; McCartney. Just stop eating meat eating!!! And the rtwisted logic will drop...!!!
fcuk them who killed wild dingos. bad man, should sue them!
There are wild populations of alpine dingoes just outside canberra theyre not extinct at all some people will believe anything *facepalm
Simply placing a protection notice on the dingo will NOT save the animal.
They would have to be restricted to an area that is feral dog proof as the two are interbreeding.
What is unique about the dingo is lost from there on in after they cross!
Because Thylacines were too mainstream.
Unfortunately Barry Oakman became unwell a few years ago, sold his farm and no longer has dingoes. There are a very few private dingo sanctuaries in Australia that breed dingoes. Most Zoo's and Wildlife Sanctuaries just keep dingoes for display and education so that really doesn't help the Conservation side of things.
I can understand the sheep farmers anger in stock losses, but 99% would be due to wild dogs , not dingoes. Breeding sheep in dog country is fraught with problems.
I want to adopt a few Dingoes and bring back to US before the retard Farmers kill all of them
See, even these native Australian dont know much about modern technology but they know how to coordinate with the nature. Unlike the fkng retard farmers, killing all the Dingo, Australian government listen, please educate your farmer some more, otherwise, set a fine for killing this animal! Lear how American protect the Gray Wolfs..
fu k roger roach
Dingoes are man-made creatures, not canines that evolved in Australia. People brought them here, and they immediately started laying waste to Australia's unique fauna. They need to be exterminated. Just because they outdate white civilization doesn't make them any less an invasive species.
I generally dislike non purebred dingos, I am okay with the pure ones, without the half breeds and dogs, the dingo problem might not be so bad, sounds kinda racist doesn't it!
LOL, 308 is a mighty good gun!
If you're coming, make sure it's in winter, too fricken hot to do anything in summer over here!
Dogs are more active in winter to!!!!
243!!!!! even better.
No worries bud, we'll be here for quite some time I can guarantee.
Hope you like camping out under the stars?
She is a feral Troll of the worse kind, that aside, I've been doing a bit of reading on these cross Coyotes that you have & might I say they sound like big trouble.
I think you're doing a wonderful job, a scope works so much better than open sights, even better when that scope is mounted on a 223 bud. :)
If ever you're heading down this way then let me know!
Take care & best of luck mate.
